M-STEP 2019
The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) will again be continuing the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP) for the Spring of 2019. Some changes are coming to the M-STEP this year. 8th graders will no longer be taking the ELA and Math M-STEP. Instead, they will be taking the Math and ELA PSAT 8/9 on April 9th. Science and Social Studies M-STEP tests will still be required for all 8th graders and will be administered in the days following the PSAT. English language arts (ELA) and Math will both still be assessed in 6th and 7th grade. M-STEP will be taken online. Students will test using their chromebooks in the classroom with their subject area teachers. The testing window for the 2019 M-STEP is as follows:
6th grade M-STEP ELA: 5/6, 5/7 & 5/8 in Language Arts class
7th grade M-STEP Math: 5/6, 5/7 & 5/8 in Math class
Please be sure your student attends school on their testing days. They must also
arrive to school ON TIME, as students are not allowed in the testing room after the test has started. In addition, make up testing takes your student away from valuable instruction time. To help students be successful on the test, please make sure they are getting a good night’s sleep before the tests and eat a good breakfast.

Talk Early & Talk Often Workshop
Please use the right lane to quickly drop off your child. Please do not park and wait for the bell to ring to let your child out of the car. The left lane is the pass through lane. Do not use this lane to drop off your child. This will keep traffic flowing and will be safer for your child.
