Greetings O.W. Families!
I hope all is well. We are half way through the school year, as of Monday! A couple reminders for students:
No cellphones out in class, lunch, hallways etc. (always keep them safe and lock up in your locker) If students use phones "out in the open" they will be confiscated and kept safely in the office.
Dress appropriately for the winter months. Wear warm clothing as outside jackets are not allowed. Hoodies are fine and accepted, as long as the hood is not worn inside the building. Please remember to follow our current dress code as well.
Please come prepared with a charged, chromebook and your charger. We are still working on technology fixes and updates. Thank you for your patience. All our classes have online applications and lessons. Our teachers and staff have worked very hard and diligently to create a variety of curricula online. Students must have a chromebook to be engaged in lessons.
We will be working hard on determining protocols, for lost and damaged technology. However, we will provide chromebooks for students as needed. They will need to resolve this quickly in the morning or between classes.
Students must come to school on time, and make class transitions on time. We understand that emergencies may happen, but it should not be the norm. We will begin meeting with students that are experiencing truancy and tardy issues.
M-STEP and P-SAT are right around the corner starting in April. It is really important that students come to class daily to learn and meet these objectives.
